Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon (ACADEMIC POSITION) UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, SAN FRANCISCO Department of Orthopaedic Surgery UCSF School of Medicine Assistant/Associate/Full Level
The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of California San Francisco is recruiting for a Pediatric Orthopaedic surgeon to care for a full spectrum of pediatric orthopedic conditions. Sub-specialty training is encouraged but not required. The selected candidate will be appointed to the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor rank of the Health Sciences (HS) Clinical, Clinical X, or In Residence faculty series, according to experience and qualification.
The selected candidate will be expected to collaborate in investigative work that leads to publications in peer-reviewed journals and participate in both didactic and bedside teaching and mentoring activities for our medical students, residents, and fellows. The position will be based at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals in San Francisco and Oakland, as well as the at the UCSF Orthopaedic Institute and satellite facilities.
Must meet the following requirements at time of hire: • A valid California medical license or equivalent Special Permit issued (or Special Permit application submitted) by the California Medical Board. • MD or an equivalent from an accredited program. • Completion of an accredited Orthopaedic Residency program. • Completion of an accredited Pediatric Orthopaedic fellowship. • Board certification/eligibility in Orthopaedic Surgery. • Applicant's materials must list (pending) qualifications upon submission.
