The Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Full-Time Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon to join Mount Sinai Hospital.
We are currently seeking a Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon to join the faculty at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Our practice includes 30+ providers in all orthopedic subspecialties who commonly work together to provide comprehensive patient care. The hospital, located on the upper east side of Manhattan, is equipped with a state-of-the-art pediatric ICU and a 35 bed NICU. We are part of a larger network that provides substantial pediatric referrals. There are pediatric faculty in all medical and surgical subspecialties enabling comprehensive multi-disciplinary care.
We are affiliated with Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai with some of the brightest and most motivated medical students in the country. Our residency class, of 7 each year, facilitate care and cover all emergency room procedures for our call pool which is 1 in 4. The residents rotate with us as second and fifth years. There are 5 residents currently interested in pursuing careers in pediatric orthopedics. There are 11 medical students and 5 residents in the pediatric orthopedics research group.
We are seeking a board certified or board eligible orthopedic surgeon who is finishing or has finished their fellowship to join our faculty. The position would be for a surgeon open to a general practice with subspecialty focus in any of the following: Spine, Hand, Foot and Ankle and Deformity. There is a long-standing culture at Mount Sinai of senior faculty mentoring junior faculty, and ample opportunities for new faculty to mentor as well.
Mount Sinai Hospital is a 3,500 bed hospital located in Manhattan. The system includes Mount Sinai Hospital, Mount Sinai West, Mount Sinai Morningside, and Mount Sinai Downtown. Medical and Graduate Schools are located on the campus. Mount Sinai is an equal opportunity employer.
Responsibilities
Provide world class Pediatric Orthopedic care as part of an academic medical center and health system
Collaborate with Pediatric practice colleagues as an integral part of a health system and growing pediatric enterprise
Faculty appointment at the Icahn School of Medicine
Facilitate resident, medical student and fellow education in Orthopedic Surgery and Pediatrics
Interaction on a professional level with other staff members and physicians
Maintaining confidentiality of all patient information according to the federal and state guidelines and regulations

Qualifications
Medical Degree from an Accredited University
New York Medical License
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
Excellent communication, bedside manner, and organizational skills
A strong work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented, performance-driven Health System
Compensation range from 350K to 500K and is commensurate with clinical and research experience (includes bonuses / incentive compensation and benefits)
