The Department of Orthopaedics at the University of Utah School of Medicine has an opening for a faculty position as a Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon with an emphasis is neuromuscular orthopaedics. The new faculty member will join a dynamic and successful pediatric orthopaedic team within an outstanding academic orthopaedic department. The position will entail work in clinical and research programs at two neighboring facilities for children. The appointment will be at a rank appropriate to the candidate on the tenure-track.
Minimum requirements include completion of a residency in orthopaedic surgery and one year of advanced fellowship training in pediatric orthopaedic surgery. The candidate will have a sincere interest in neuromuscular pediatric orthopaedics and will spend a significant portion of their time devoted to the development of this program and direct our motion analysis laboratory. The chosen candidate is a team player and will have a desire to develop and mentor others in the field. A successful candidate will have demonstrated exceptional academic interest and a clear record of excellence in all aspects of orthopaedics including clinical care, education and clinical or basic science research.
